I don't understand how finasteride repairs hair follicles when all it does is block DHT? Is it that hair follicles above 50% thickness will naturally heal themselves once DHT in the scalp falls beneath a certain threshold? Does that I mean that, as someone who isn't normally susceptible to MPB, if I take something that raises my DHT levels (like Tongkat Ali), to the point where it damages my hair follicles, taking a break from it will naturally allow the follicles to repair (because like a MPB sufferer who is taking finasteride, my scalp DHT levels will again have dropped into safe range)?

Used this on my slight thinning corners and made it worse ....never grew back lol

Hi, does anyone out there know if trichotillomania would show up in a biopsy as inflammation around the follicles on the scalp? I would think so but I'm not sure

A tight fitting baseball cap or hat can definitely cause hair loss. The hairs in areas where the hat is tight against the skin will grow weaker and weaker to soft downy hairs and then die altogether if hat wearing is persistent for years. Just like a tight ponytail in girls

I think the biggest misconception is that getting a hair transplant means you’re safe from balding, and the truth to that is no you’re not. Your hair can still thin over time, i think that’s definitely one of the biggest ones.
